The Opportunity:

We are seeking an experienced Gardener to maintain the school’s gardens and grounds across multiple sites. This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in their work and enjoys being outdoors. You will play a key role in ensuring the school’s grounds are well-maintained and visually appealing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and enhance the school’s gardens and grounds across multiple sites.
  • Perform regular maintenance tasks including mowing, pruning, and planting.
  • Ensure the upkeep of all outdoor areas, including pathways, lawns, and flower beds.
  • Work collaboratively with other members of the grounds team to complete projects.
  • Use initiative and problem-solving skills to address maintenance issues as they arise.
  • Operate and maintain gardening and grounds equipment.
  • Adhere to health and safety standards at all times.
  • Support the school’s mission by contributing to a clean, safe, and attractive environment.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Experience in gardening or grounds maintenance.
  • A full driving license.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and independently.
  • Commitment to maintaining high standards of work.
  • Physical fitness to perform outdoor tasks.

Preferred

  • Knowledge of shrubbery, bedding plants, and cylinder mowing.
  • Experience in a school or educational setting.
  • Familiarity with garden maintenance software or tools.
  • Strong attention to detail and a passion for horticulture.
