Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Geography lessons across KS3, KS4, and KS5.
  • Develop and implement engaging, curriculum-focused teaching strategies.
  • Support student attainment and achievement through targeted intervention and feedback.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance departmental performance and student outcomes.
  • Contribute to the wider life of the school through extracurricular activities and pastoral support.
  • Stay up to date with developments in Geography education and incorporate innovative teaching methods.
  • Monitor and assess student progress effectively, ensuring consistent improvement.
  • Participate in staff training and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with experience in Geography education.
  • Demonstrated ability to teach across KS3, KS4, and KS5.
  • Strong track record in driving student achievement and attainment.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred

  • Experience working with ECTs (Early Career Teachers) or RQTs (Recently Qualified Teachers).
  • Familiarity with the Achieve and Learn Trust and its values.
  • Experience with curriculum development and cross-curricular collaboration.
  • Knowledge of current Geography teaching methodologies and resources.
