Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality Geography lessons across KS3, KS4, and KS5.
- Develop and implement engaging, curriculum-focused teaching strategies.
- Support student attainment and achievement through targeted intervention and feedback.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance departmental performance and student outcomes.
- Contribute to the wider life of the school through extracurricular activities and pastoral support.
- Stay up to date with developments in Geography education and incorporate innovative teaching methods.
- Monitor and assess student progress effectively, ensuring consistent improvement.
- Participate in staff training and professional development opportunities.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with experience in Geography education.
- Demonstrated ability to teach across KS3, KS4, and KS5.
- Strong track record in driving student achievement and attainment.
- Commitment to continuous professional development.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred
- Experience working with ECTs (Early Career Teachers) or RQTs (Recently Qualified Teachers).
- Familiarity with the Achieve and Learn Trust and its values.
- Experience with curriculum development and cross-curricular collaboration.
- Knowledge of current Geography teaching methodologies and resources.
