Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging, high-quality Science lessons that inspire curiosity and enthusiasm
  • Promote academic progress, wellbeing and positive behaviour among students
  • Contribute to the development of an ambitious and inclusive Science curriculum
  • Assess, monitor and report on student progress, implementing timely interventions
  • Work collaboratively with the Science team to support the school’s vision and priorities
  • Reflect on and improve teaching practice through professional development and shared expertise
  • Support curriculum development, examinations and school improvement initiatives
  • Participate in meetings, duties and enrichment activities as required

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant experience in Science education
  • Strong subject knowledge and the ability to inspire student engagement
  • Commitment to inclusive practice and raising achievement across all ability ranges
  • Experience in delivering high-quality teaching and learning
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and contribute to team success

Preferred

  • Experience with curriculum development and enrichment activities
  • Familiarity with assessment and reporting systems
  • Experience in supporting student wellbeing and behaviour management
  • Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection policies
  • Experience in a school with a strong focus on CPD and professional growth
