The Opportunity:
As a Teacher of Science, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality Science education and supporting students to reach their full potential. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate and committed educator to join a supportive and innovative school environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging, high-quality Science lessons that inspire curiosity and enthusiasm
- Promote academic progress, wellbeing and positive behaviour among students
- Contribute to the development of an ambitious and inclusive Science curriculum
- Assess, monitor and report on student progress, implementing timely interventions
- Work collaboratively with the Science team to support the school’s vision and priorities
- Reflect on and improve teaching practice through professional development and shared expertise
- Support curriculum development, examinations and school improvement initiatives
- Participate in meetings, duties and enrichment activities as required
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with relevant experience in Science education
- Strong subject knowledge and the ability to inspire student engagement
- Commitment to inclusive practice and raising achievement across all ability ranges
- Experience in delivering high-quality teaching and learning
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and contribute to team success
Preferred
- Experience with curriculum development and enrichment activities
- Familiarity with assessment and reporting systems
- Experience in supporting student wellbeing and behaviour management
- Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection policies
- Experience in a school with a strong focus on CPD and professional growth
