The Opportunity:
We are seeking a Geography Teacher to join a dynamic and successful department. The role offers the opportunity to inspire students across Years 7–13 and contribute to a school with a proven track record of outstanding academic results.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality Geography lessons to students across Years 7–13.
- Develop engaging and innovative teaching resources that support student learning and achievement.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and support.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the Geography curriculum and departmental practices.
- Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student participation and growth.
- Participate in extracurricular activities and school events that support student development.
- Stay up to date with developments in Geography education and incorporate new teaching methods and technologies.
- Support the school’s commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Strong subject knowledge in Geography.
- Experience teaching Geography at Key Stage 3 and 4 (GCSE) and Key Stage 5 (A Level).
- Ability to engage and inspire students of all abilities.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
- Eligibility to work in the UK and the ability to undergo required safeguarding checks.
Preferred
- Experience working with ECTs or in a leadership role within a department.
- Experience with innovative teaching methods and the use of technology in the classroom.
- Experience in developing and delivering extracurricular Geography activities.
- Experience in a co-educational setting.
