The Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate and innovative Design Technology Teacher to join our team on a part-time basis. Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and impactful Design Technology lessons aligned with the National Curriculum for GCSE.
  • Incorporate modern teaching methods and technologies into classroom practice.
  • Support students in developing practical skills and creative thinking.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across the school and globally through the OneSchool Global network.
  • Provide regular feedback and assessment to ensure student progress and achievement.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development and training opportunities.
  • Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student engagement and learning.
  • Contribute to the development of the Design Technology curriculum and resources.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Degree or similar qualification in a relevant subject area.
  • Experience teaching Design Technology to students in Key Stages 3 and 4.
  • Strong understanding of the National Curriculum for GCSE Design Technology.
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to include modern technologies and online resources.
  • Commitment to self-directed learning and student-centred teaching approaches.

Preferred

  • Experience with video conferencing and online teaching platforms.
  • Background in using digital tools to enhance student learning.
  • Experience in a school with a global educational approach.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, parents, and colleagues.
