The Opportunity:

We are seeking a Geography Teacher to join our team for a one-year maternity cover position starting in September 2026. This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on students’ learning and development across key stages 3 to 5.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Geography lessons to students across KS3 to KS5.
  • Develop and implement engaging and innovative teaching strategies.
  • Monitor and assess student progress regularly, providing constructive feedback.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to support the school’s academic and pastoral goals.
  • Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to curriculum development.
  • Support the school’s commitment to inclusivity and student well-being.
  • Engage in professional development and continuing education.
  • Contribute to extracurricular activities and school events.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with experience in teaching Geography at KS3 to KS5.
  • Strong subject knowledge and the ability to inspire student interest in Geography.
  • Proven ability to plan and deliver effective lessons.
  • Commitment to student welfare and inclusive education.

Preferred

  • Experience working in a school with a strong focus on empowerment and equality.
  • Familiarity with the EMPOWER charter and related initiatives.
  • Experience with flexible working arrangements.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
