The Opportunity:

A Geography Teacher is required to join a dynamic and inclusive school community. This role offers the opportunity to inspire students and contribute to a school with a strong academic and pastoral ethos. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering high-quality Geography education to students at all levels.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and challenging Geography lessons to students at Key Stage 3, 4 and 5.
  • Develop and implement a curriculum that reflects best practice in Geography education.
  • Monitor and assess student progress regularly, providing constructive feedback to support learning.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across the humanities department to enhance teaching and learning.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities and contribute to staff training.
  • Support extracurricular activities related to Geography, such as field trips and clubs.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports in line with school policies and procedures.
  • Contribute to the wider life of the school, including pastoral care and community engagement.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant experience in Geography education.
  • Experience teaching Geography to GCSE and A Level.
  • Strong subject knowledge and passion for Geography.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to the school’s inclusive and Christian values.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.

Preferred

  • Experience with CPD and mentoring.
  • Experience in leading or supporting extracurricular Geography activities.
  • Experience with inclusive education and pastoral care.
  • Familiarity with modern teaching methods and technologies.
