The Opportunity:
A Geography Teacher is required to join a dynamic and inclusive school community. This role offers the opportunity to inspire students and contribute to a school with a strong academic and pastoral ethos. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering high-quality Geography education to students at all levels.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and challenging Geography lessons to students at Key Stage 3, 4 and 5.
- Develop and implement a curriculum that reflects best practice in Geography education.
- Monitor and assess student progress regularly, providing constructive feedback to support learning.
- Collaborate with colleagues across the humanities department to enhance teaching and learning.
- Participate in professional development opportunities and contribute to staff training.
- Support extracurricular activities related to Geography, such as field trips and clubs.
- Maintain accurate records and reports in line with school policies and procedures.
- Contribute to the wider life of the school, including pastoral care and community engagement.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with relevant experience in Geography education.
- Experience teaching Geography to GCSE and A Level.
- Strong subject knowledge and passion for Geography.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to the school’s inclusive and Christian values.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
Preferred
- Experience with CPD and mentoring.
- Experience in leading or supporting extracurricular Geography activities.
- Experience with inclusive education and pastoral care.
- Familiarity with modern teaching methods and technologies.
