The Opportunity:
A school in central London is seeking an experienced and passionate Art Teacher to cover maternity leave starting September 2026. This role offers the chance to contribute to a successful and high-performing department, with a focus on inspiring students and delivering outstanding results.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality Art lessons to students across Key Stages 4 and 5.
- Inspire and motivate students to achieve their full potential in Art.
- Develop and implement innovative teaching strategies and resources.
- Contribute to the continued success and development of the Art department.
- Support students in achieving excellent GCSE and A Level results.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the overall learning experience.
- Participate in department meetings, staff training, and school events.
- Ensure a safe and inclusive learning environment for all students.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with relevant experience in Art education.
- Strong subject knowledge in Art and design.
- Experience teaching Key Stage 4 and 5 students.
- Excellent classroom management and organisational skills.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting student welfare.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Preferred
- Experience in delivering creative and innovative Art lessons.
- Background in curriculum development and assessment.
- Experience with teaching in a Church of England school.
- Knowledge of current Art trends and practices.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
