The Opportunity:

A school in central London is seeking an experienced and passionate Art Teacher to cover maternity leave starting September 2026. This role offers the chance to contribute to a successful and high-performing department, with a focus on inspiring students and delivering outstanding results.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Art lessons to students across Key Stages 4 and 5.
  • Inspire and motivate students to achieve their full potential in Art.
  • Develop and implement innovative teaching strategies and resources.
  • Contribute to the continued success and development of the Art department.
  • Support students in achieving excellent GCSE and A Level results.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the overall learning experience.
  • Participate in department meetings, staff training, and school events.
  • Ensure a safe and inclusive learning environment for all students.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant experience in Art education.
  • Strong subject knowledge in Art and design.
  • Experience teaching Key Stage 4 and 5 students.
  • Excellent classroom management and organisational skills.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting student welfare.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Preferred

  • Experience in delivering creative and innovative Art lessons.
  • Background in curriculum development and assessment.
  • Experience with teaching in a Church of England school.
  • Knowledge of current Art trends and practices.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
