The Opportunity:

As a Housekeeping Assistant, you will play a vital role in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment across the school’s buildings. Your work will directly support the well-being of students and staff, ensuring that all areas are kept to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Clean and maintain classrooms, accommodation, and public areas to ensure a safe and welcoming environment.
• Conduct deep cleaning of dormitories, offices, and classrooms during holiday periods.
• Report any incidents, accidents, theft, or damage to supervisors promptly and take necessary action where possible.
• Work independently and as part of a team to meet cleaning schedules and standards.
• Follow health and safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
• Support other members of the housekeeping team as required.
• Maintain a high standard of cleanliness and organization in all areas of responsibility.
• Adhere to the school’s policies and procedures at all times.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Previous experience in a cleaning or housekeeping role, or willingness to learn and train.
• Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Flexibility to work varied hours, including weekends and school holidays.
• Commitment to maintaining a clean and safe environment.
• Right to work in the UK.

Preferred

• Experience in a school or educational setting.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
• Experience with cleaning equipment and chemicals.
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
