Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and effective Geography lessons to students across key stages.
- Develop and implement a curriculum that meets the needs of all learners.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to support improvement.
- Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and improve teaching and learning.
- Maintain a safe and inclusive classroom environment that promotes student well-being.
- Participate in staff meetings, training, and professional development opportunities.
- Support the school's values and vision through active involvement in school life.
- Engage with students and their families to support learning and achievement.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with relevant subject knowledge in Geography.
- Experience of teaching Geography at secondary level.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and take responsibility for student progress.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred
- Experience of working in a multi-academy trust or similar educational setting.
- Familiarity with the National Curriculum and current Geography teaching methodologies.
- Experience of leading or contributing to curriculum development.
- Experience of using technology to enhance teaching and learning.
