The Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Physics Teacher to join a successful Science department. This role offers the chance to inspire students across all ability levels and contribute to a department renowned for its high standards and academic success. Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Physics lessons across all key stages, ensuring student engagement and academic progress.
  • Develop and implement effective teaching strategies that promote student achievement and a deep understanding of Physics.
  • Contribute to the Science department’s success by participating in departmental meetings and collaborative planning.
  • Monitor and assess student progress through regular assessments and provide constructive feedback.
  • Support the school’s mission by fostering a positive learning environment and encouraging student participation in extracurricular activities.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development and contribute to the school’s CPD programme.
  • Work closely with colleagues to share best practice and enhance teaching and learning across the school.
  • Maintain strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues to support student success.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant experience in Physics education.
  • Strong subject knowledge in Physics and the ability to teach across key stages.
  • Commitment to raising student attainment and fostering a love of learning.
  • Experience in a school environment with a focus on student progress and achievement.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred

  • Experience in delivering both Triple and Combined Science at GCSE level.
  • Experience with A Level Physics and/or BTEC qualifications in Applied Science.
  • Familiarity with the Cardinal Hume Academies Trust and its educational values.
  • Experience in supporting students with diverse learning needs.
  • Evidence of successful professional development, such as NPQ qualifications.
