The Opportunity:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Physics Teacher to join a successful Science department. This role offers the chance to inspire students across all ability levels and contribute to a department renowned for its high standards and academic success. Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality Physics lessons across all key stages, ensuring student engagement and academic progress.
- Develop and implement effective teaching strategies that promote student achievement and a deep understanding of Physics.
- Contribute to the Science department’s success by participating in departmental meetings and collaborative planning.
- Monitor and assess student progress through regular assessments and provide constructive feedback.
- Support the school’s mission by fostering a positive learning environment and encouraging student participation in extracurricular activities.
- Engage in ongoing professional development and contribute to the school’s CPD programme.
- Work closely with colleagues to share best practice and enhance teaching and learning across the school.
- Maintain strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues to support student success.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with relevant experience in Physics education.
- Strong subject knowledge in Physics and the ability to teach across key stages.
- Commitment to raising student attainment and fostering a love of learning.
- Experience in a school environment with a focus on student progress and achievement.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred
- Experience in delivering both Triple and Combined Science at GCSE level.
- Experience with A Level Physics and/or BTEC qualifications in Applied Science.
- Familiarity with the Cardinal Hume Academies Trust and its educational values.
- Experience in supporting students with diverse learning needs.
- Evidence of successful professional development, such as NPQ qualifications.
