The Opportunity:

A school is seeking a passionate and skilled RE Teacher to join its dedicated team. Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and inspiring RE lessons that promote critical thinking and spiritual development
  • Support the school’s Catholic ethos and values through teaching and pastoral care
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to improve teaching and learning across the school
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to help pupils achieve their full potential
  • Contribute to the wider life of the school, including extra-curricular activities and pastoral duties
  • Maintain high standards of behaviour and attendance in the classroom
  • Participate in professional development and training to enhance teaching practice
  • Ensure all lessons are inclusive and reflect the diverse needs of students

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with a relevant degree and QTS
  • Strong subject knowledge in RE and the ability to teach across the key stages
  • Experience of teaching in a Catholic school or with a strong understanding of Catholic values
  • Commitment to inclusive practice and student well-being
  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team

Preferred

  • Experience of teaching in a coeducational setting
  • Experience with pastoral care or student support
  • Experience of leading or contributing to curriculum development
  • Familiarity with modern teaching methods and technology
