The Opportunity:
A school is seeking a passionate and skilled RE Teacher to join its dedicated team. Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and inspiring RE lessons that promote critical thinking and spiritual development
- Support the school’s Catholic ethos and values through teaching and pastoral care
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to improve teaching and learning across the school
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to help pupils achieve their full potential
- Contribute to the wider life of the school, including extra-curricular activities and pastoral duties
- Maintain high standards of behaviour and attendance in the classroom
- Participate in professional development and training to enhance teaching practice
- Ensure all lessons are inclusive and reflect the diverse needs of students
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with a relevant degree and QTS
- Strong subject knowledge in RE and the ability to teach across the key stages
- Experience of teaching in a Catholic school or with a strong understanding of Catholic values
- Commitment to inclusive practice and student well-being
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
Preferred
- Experience of teaching in a coeducational setting
- Experience with pastoral care or student support
- Experience of leading or contributing to curriculum development
- Familiarity with modern teaching methods and technology
