Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement engaging lessons that align with ecoliteracy principles and sustainability concepts.
• Review and refine the curriculum for Key Stages 3-5, integrating environmental studies and geographical knowledge.
• Lead inquiry-based learning experiences through field work and educational visits.
• Collaborate with colleagues to infuse sustainability practices across the curriculum.
• Encourage an inclusive learning environment that promotes environmental stewardship and geographical understanding.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Native-level English language skills
• Bachelor’s degree in Geography, Environmental Education, Environmental Sciences, or similar, with a PGCE in Education with QTS or equivalent
• Minimum of 3 years of teaching experience in the UK or a reputable British school overseas
• A track record of outstanding GCSE and/or A Level examination results
• Proven ability to create a caring and nurturing classroom environment

Preferred

• Experience teaching Eco-literacy, Geography, and/or Global Perspectives
• Experience developing A Level or IB programmes
• Strong knowledge of assessment and data tools
• Experience with curriculum mapping and cross-curricular collaboration
