The Opportunity:

As a Chemistry Teacher, you will play a vital role in shaping student outcomes and inspiring a passion for science. This is an opportunity to teach across KS3, KS4, and KS5, contributing to a growing A-Level programme and a forward-thinking, ecological approach to education.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach Chemistry across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5, including GCSE/iGCSE and A Level or IB.
  • Deliver high-quality lessons that foster curiosity, critical thinking, and a deep understanding of scientific concepts.
  • Support students of all abilities in achieving outstanding academic results and personal growth.
  • Collaborate with the Science department to develop innovative and engaging curriculum content.
  • Promote a learning environment that reflects the school’s commitment to ecological awareness and sustainability.
  • Participate in departmental meetings, staff training, and school-wide initiatives.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and support.
  • Engage with the wider school community through extracurricular activities and events.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or a related field, with a PGCE in Education and QTS or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience teaching Chemistry in the UK or a reputable British school overseas.
  • Proven track record of outstanding GCSE and/or A Level examination results.
  • Native-level English language skills.
  • Ability to create a caring and nurturing classroom environment.

Preferred

  • Experience with project-based and experiential learning.
  • Familiarity with the National Curriculum for England.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Passion for sustainability and ecological education.
