Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the overall operations of the academy, ensuring effective governance and compliance with educational standards.
• Oversee the development and implementation of the curriculum, ensuring it meets the needs of all learners.
• Provide professional leadership and support to teaching and support staff, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
• Monitor and evaluate teaching and learning outcomes to ensure consistent high standards across the academy.
• Work closely with the academy trust and other schools in the cluster to share best practices and drive collaborative improvement.
• Develop and implement new initiatives that enhance student achievement and engagement.
• Foster strong relationships with parents, students, and the local community to support the school’s mission and vision.
• Ensure a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment for all students and staff.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Proven leadership experience in a senior educational role, preferably within an academy setting.
• Demonstrated success in improving student outcomes and raising standards in teaching and learning.
• Strong knowledge of curriculum development and the ability to implement effective teaching strategies.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with staff, parents, and external partners.
• Experience in managing and leading a team of teaching and support staff.

Preferred

• Experience within a multi-academy trust or similar educational partnership.
• A commitment to professional development and leadership training.
• Experience in leading school improvement initiatives or whole-school change programs.
• Familiarity with Delta Academies Trust and its values and structures.
