Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons tailored to the diverse needs of your class.
- Assess and report on pupils' progress, setting short-term learning targets in line with school policy.
- Promote the well-being and social development of your students, providing guidance and support where needed.
- Communicate effectively with parents and carers, working closely with senior leaders and the Head of Year.
- Participate in ongoing professional development, including INSET and appraisal processes.
- Ensure a safe and disciplined learning environment, safeguarding the health and well-being of all pupils.
- Support students in preparing for public examinations and statutory assessments, including SATs and Phonics Screening.
- Contribute to the induction of new teachers and the development of the school’s curriculum and pastoral strategies.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a relevant degree.
- Experience in teaching primary-aged children.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred
- Experience in pastoral care and student well-being.
- Familiarity with inclusive education practices and curriculum development.
- Experience in preparing students for statutory assessments.
