Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons tailored to the diverse needs of your class.
  • Assess and report on pupils' progress, setting short-term learning targets in line with school policy.
  • Promote the well-being and social development of your students, providing guidance and support where needed.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and carers, working closely with senior leaders and the Head of Year.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development, including INSET and appraisal processes.
  • Ensure a safe and disciplined learning environment, safeguarding the health and well-being of all pupils.
  • Support students in preparing for public examinations and statutory assessments, including SATs and Phonics Screening.
  • Contribute to the induction of new teachers and the development of the school’s curriculum and pastoral strategies.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a relevant degree.
  • Experience in teaching primary-aged children.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred

  • Experience in pastoral care and student well-being.
  • Familiarity with inclusive education practices and curriculum development.
  • Experience in preparing students for statutory assessments.
