The Opportunity:

As the Head of Arabic, you will lead and support the Arabic department to ensure high-quality teaching and learning outcomes. This role is pivotal in shaping the academic direction of the school and ensuring the delivery of a curriculum that aligns with the school’s mission and values.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the Arabic department to ensure high standards of teaching and learning.
  • Monitor student progress and attainment, working closely with the Senior Leadership Team.
  • Collaborate with teachers to develop and implement effective learning strategies.
  • Support staff in achieving outstanding teaching and learning results.
  • Assess the impact of school action plans to ensure desired learning outcomes are met.
  • Foster a collaborative and innovative environment within the department.
  • Promote the school’s mission and values through curriculum delivery and student engagement.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant educational standards and policies.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Relevant teaching qualification or license with experience leading an Arabic department.
  • Minimum two years of senior or middle leadership experience in a similar setting.
  • Experience teaching and leading in an American curriculum school setting.
  • Demonstrated ability as an outstanding and inspirational senior leader.
  • Flexible and enthusiastic approach with a can-do ethos.
  • Innovative and reflective practitioner with a commitment to continuous learning and development.

Preferred

  • Experience in international education settings.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Familiarity with Islamic values and Arabic cultural principles.
  • Experience in curriculum development and implementation.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with senior leadership and department members.
