The Opportunity:

As a SEND Teacher, you will play a vital role in supporting students with special educational needs. You will create individualized learning plans, collaborate with specialists, and ensure every student has the opportunity to succeed. This is a chance to make a real difference in the lives of students with diverse learning needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to students’ specific learning needs.
  • Collaborate with school counselors, occupational therapists, psychologists, and parents to support student development.
  • Adapt curriculum and lesson plans to meet the needs of students with mild to moderate disabilities.
  • Provide in-class and one-on-one support to students in English and math.
  • Conduct assessments to identify learning needs and track student progress.
  • Work closely with speech therapists, occupational therapists, and other professionals as needed.
  • Maintain accurate student records and report on progress to parents and staff.
  • Support students with emotional and behavioral challenges, helping them develop social skills.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant subject area and recognized teaching qualification or license.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience teaching students with special educational needs or disabilities.
  • Excellent command of English.
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Preferred

  • Special education certification or working towards certification.
  • Experience with assistive technology.
  • Experience working with students on the autism spectrum or with specific learning difficulties.
  • Knowledge of American or British curricula.
