As a SEND Teacher, you will play a vital role in supporting students with special educational needs, helping them achieve their full potential through personalized learning and collaboration with school staff and families. Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized teaching plans tailored to the specific needs of students with special educational needs.
• Collaborate with school counselors, occupational therapists, psychologists, and parents to support student development and progress.
• Modify curriculum content to ensure accessibility and engagement for students with mild to moderate disabilities.
• Conduct assessments and create Individual Educational Plans (IEPs) to guide student learning and development.
• Provide academic support in English and Math both inside and outside the classroom.
• Work with speech therapists and occupational therapists to support students with a range of learning and developmental needs.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date student records and support students with emotional or behavioral challenges.
• Contribute to the school’s overall ethos and participate in staff meetings and training programs.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant subject area and a recognised teaching qualification or license.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role working with students with learning difficulties or disabilities.
• Excellent command of English and strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and work effectively as part of a team.

Preferred

• A special education certification or experience working towards such a qualification.
• Experience in developing and delivering individualized learning programs for students with special educational needs.
• Knowledge of assistive technology and experience working with students who require it.
• Experience in managing challenging behaviors and supporting students with emotional or behavioral difficulties.
