Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the art department, ensuring high-quality teaching and learning across all levels.
• Develop and implement a strategic vision for art that aligns with the school’s educational goals.
• Deliver A Level Art (Edexcel) and support students in achieving outstanding academic results.
• Foster a culture of professional development and continuous improvement among staff.
• Collaborate with other departments to integrate art into a broad and balanced curriculum.
• Promote the school’s art program through exhibitions, events, and community engagement.
• Support the pastoral and co-curricular life of the school, contributing to student well-being and leadership development.
• Ensure the department maintains high standards of assessment, feedback, and student progress.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Relevant degree and teaching qualification, preferably from a British university.
• Minimum of three years’ teaching experience in a British curriculum school.
• Hold a PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Ability to teach A Level Art (currently Edexcel).
• Experience in leading and managing a team of educators.
• Commitment to placing students at the center of teaching and learning.
• Enthusiasm for professional development and continuous growth.

Preferred

• Experience in a leadership role within a school or educational institution.
• Strong background in art education and curriculum development.
• Demonstrated success in student achievement and engagement.
• Familiarity with international education standards and best practices.
