The Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate and skilled Teacher of Music to join our growing team and contribute to a dynamic, student-centered learning environment. This role will involve teaching music across the Junior School and supporting a wide range of performing arts activities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach class music and lead choirs and ensembles across Early Years to Year 6.
• Support and contribute to the wider Performing Arts provision, including Drama, Dance, and creative performance opportunities.
• Deliver high-quality, engaging lessons that inspire and nurture students' musical talents.
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop and enhance the school’s music and performing arts program.
• Assist in organizing and delivering performances, productions, and events across the school.
• Provide pastoral support and contribute to the school’s co-curricular and pastoral systems.
• Engage in professional development to maintain and enhance teaching practices.
• Maintain a strong focus on student progress and achievement in music.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• A relevant degree and teaching qualification, preferably from a British university.
• Minimum of two years teaching experience in a British curriculum school.
• A PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Strong ability in piano accompaniment.
• Commitment to student-centered teaching and professional development.
• Willingness to engage fully with school life and contribute to pastoral and co-curricular activities.

Preferred

• Experience in leading choirs or ensembles.
• Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language.
• Background in Drama, Dance, or other creative performance areas.
• Experience working in an international or British curriculum school.
