The Opportunity:
As a Teacher of Art, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the artistic development of students from Year 7 to Year 13. Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and innovative Art lessons across Years 7 to 13.
- Support students in developing their artistic skills, confidence, and creative expression.
- Contribute to the development and delivery of the Art curriculum.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the school’s co-curricular and pastoral programmes.
- Participate in professional development opportunities and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Engage with students beyond the classroom, encouraging involvement in extracurricular and enrichment activities.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to support learning and growth.
- Maintain a stimulating and inclusive classroom environment that promotes creativity and personal development.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- A relevant degree and teaching qualification, ideally from a British university.
- Minimum of two years of teaching experience in a British curriculum school.
- Hold a PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Commitment to placing students at the centre of teaching and learning.
- Enthusiasm for professional development and continuous improvement.
- Willingness to contribute to the pastoral and co-curricular life of the school.
Preferred
- Experience in teaching Art at both GCSE and A Level.
- Strong portfolio of artistic work and experience in creative disciplines.
- Familiarity with British curriculum standards and assessment practices.
- Experience in leading or contributing to departmental initiatives and curriculum development.
