Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and develop a comprehensive athletic development program aligned with the school’s vision for sport.
  • Manage pre-season planning and coordination for all major sporting terms.
  • Oversee the training, coaching, and performance of student athletes across multiple sports disciplines.
  • Foster a culture of inclusivity, teamwork, and lifelong physical wellbeing.
  • Collaborate with other departments to integrate sports and wellness into the broader educational experience.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety standards in all athletic activities.
  • Recruit, train, and support a team of coaches and support staff.
  • Monitor and evaluate the performance and development of athletes and programs.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven leadership experience in a sports or athletic development role.
  • Strong understanding of performance sport and athlete development.
  • Experience in managing large-scale sporting programs and events.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Preferred

  • Experience in a school or educational setting.
  • Knowledge of coaching methodologies and sports science.
  • Familiarity with the principles of inclusive and holistic athletic development.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings when required.
