The Opportunity:
A school is seeking a dynamic and inspiring Physics Teacher to join its Science department and support the delivery of Physics at all key stages. This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on student learning and contribute to a high-performing department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality Physics lessons at KS3, KS4, and KS5.
- Support the Head of Science in maintaining and raising standards of teaching and learning.
- Develop and implement engaging and effective teaching strategies.
- Monitor and assess student progress regularly to ensure academic success.
- Contribute to the wider Science department through collaboration and shared planning.
- Participate in extracurricular activities related to Science and Physics.
- Stay up to date with developments in Physics education and curriculum changes.
- Provide pastoral support to students where appropriate.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with experience in teaching Physics at A Level.
- Proven track record of delivering excellent teaching and learning outcomes.
- Strong subject knowledge in Physics.
- Experience of working in a school environment, ideally within a Science department.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
Preferred
- Experience with teaching GCSE and A Level Physics.
- Familiarity with triple science pathways.
- Experience in curriculum development and leadership within a Science department.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
