The Opportunity:

A school is seeking a dynamic and inspiring Physics Teacher to join its Science department and support the delivery of Physics at all key stages. This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on student learning and contribute to a high-performing department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Physics lessons at KS3, KS4, and KS5.
  • Support the Head of Science in maintaining and raising standards of teaching and learning.
  • Develop and implement engaging and effective teaching strategies.
  • Monitor and assess student progress regularly to ensure academic success.
  • Contribute to the wider Science department through collaboration and shared planning.
  • Participate in extracurricular activities related to Science and Physics.
  • Stay up to date with developments in Physics education and curriculum changes.
  • Provide pastoral support to students where appropriate.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with experience in teaching Physics at A Level.
  • Proven track record of delivering excellent teaching and learning outcomes.
  • Strong subject knowledge in Physics.
  • Experience of working in a school environment, ideally within a Science department.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Preferred

  • Experience with teaching GCSE and A Level Physics.
  • Familiarity with triple science pathways.
  • Experience in curriculum development and leadership within a Science department.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
