Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the Biology Department, ensuring high standards of teaching and learning.
  • Develop and implement a shared vision and purpose for the department.
  • Promote academic success and intellectual engagement among students.
  • Represent the department at heads of department meetings and contribute to institutional strategy.
  • Support and mentor departmental staff, fostering professional growth and development.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across the school to enhance cross-curricular initiatives.
  • Ensure effective communication and coordination within the department and with other stakeholders.
  • Monitor and evaluate departmental performance, driving continuous improvement.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven leadership experience in a senior academic role.
  • Excellent teaching skills and a strong commitment to academic excellence.
  • Strategic thinking and the ability to develop and implement departmental vision.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Experience in managing and motivating a team of teachers.
