The Opportunity:
As a Computer Science Teacher, you will play a vital role in shaping the minds of talented students. This is a permanent, full-time position with the opportunity to teach across all year groups, including the Sixth Form. The school is committed to supporting all teachers, whether they are new to teaching or have years of experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach Computer Science to students across all key stages, including the Sixth Form.
- Deliver high-quality, engaging lessons that inspire and challenge students.
- Support the development of the Computer Science curriculum and contribute to departmental initiatives.
- Act as a form tutor and take an active role in the pastoral care of students.
- Participate in the co-curricular programme and contribute to the school’s vibrant extracurricular life.
- Provide ongoing professional development and mentorship to students and colleagues.
- Collaborate with other teachers to ensure a cohesive and supportive learning environment.
- Stay up to date with developments in Computer Science and integrate new technologies into teaching.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- A strong degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- A commitment to delivering high-quality teaching and learning.
- The ability to inspire and motivate students.
- Willingness to take on a pastoral role as a form tutor.
- A passion for Computer Science and a desire to share that passion with students.
Preferred
- Experience in teaching or training in Computer Science.
- A teaching qualification or the ability to achieve qualified teacher status.
- Experience with curriculum development and innovative teaching methods.
- Familiarity with the use of technology in education.
- Experience in contributing to co-curricular activities.
