The Opportunity:
We are seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to support the learning and wellbeing of Junior School pupils. This role is integral to the school’s mission of providing a supportive, innovative, and intellectually stimulating environment for young learners.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support teachers in delivering the curriculum and facilitating learning activities.
- Assist in the development of social skills, integration, and emotional wellbeing of pupils.
- Provide practical support during lessons and educational activities.
- Contribute to the creation of a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Collaborate with teachers and support staff to ensure the highest standards of teaching and pastoral care.
- Monitor and support the physical and emotional wellbeing of pupils throughout the school day.
- Encourage and support pupils in achieving their academic and personal potential.
- Assist in the organization and delivery of enrichment activities and extra-curricular programs.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Proven experience working as a Teaching Assistant in a school setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and support staff.
- Commitment to the welfare and development of young children.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Relevant qualifications in education or a related field.
Preferred
- Experience working with children in a Junior School environment.
- Knowledge of the National Curriculum and teaching methodologies.
- Experience with child protection and safeguarding procedures.
- Familiarity with inclusive education and diversity initiatives.
- Experience in supporting students with additional needs.
