The Opportunity:

We are seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to support the learning and wellbeing of Junior School pupils. This role is integral to the school’s mission of providing a supportive, innovative, and intellectually stimulating environment for young learners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support teachers in delivering the curriculum and facilitating learning activities.
  • Assist in the development of social skills, integration, and emotional wellbeing of pupils.
  • Provide practical support during lessons and educational activities.
  • Contribute to the creation of a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Collaborate with teachers and support staff to ensure the highest standards of teaching and pastoral care.
  • Monitor and support the physical and emotional wellbeing of pupils throughout the school day.
  • Encourage and support pupils in achieving their academic and personal potential.
  • Assist in the organization and delivery of enrichment activities and extra-curricular programs.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven experience working as a Teaching Assistant in a school setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and support staff.
  • Commitment to the welfare and development of young children.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Relevant qualifications in education or a related field.

Preferred

  • Experience working with children in a Junior School environment.
  • Knowledge of the National Curriculum and teaching methodologies.
  • Experience with child protection and safeguarding procedures.
  • Familiarity with inclusive education and diversity initiatives.
  • Experience in supporting students with additional needs.
