The Opportunity:

As a Senior Business Development Manager, you will play a key role in driving sustainable non-fee revenue growth and shaping long-term initiatives that enhance both financial resilience and educational provision. This is a strategic leadership role that offers the opportunity to influence the future direction of a school and make a lasting impact.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify, evaluate and deliver new non-fee revenue-generating initiatives
  • Lead complex projects from feasibility and business case through to implementation and review
  • Oversee the Enterprises function and line manage the Enterprises Manager
  • Contribute to the school’s capital expenditure strategy and long-term site development
  • Support strategies to enhance the student experience, particularly at Sixth Form level
  • Work closely with External Relations and Admissions to strengthen brand and pupil recruitment
  • Build and manage effective internal and external partnerships
  • Ensure initiatives align with the school’s vision and values

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Degree-level education or substantial relevant professional experience
  • Significant experience in developing and delivering successful business development strategies
  • Strong strategic thinking and the ability to translate vision into delivery
  • Strong financial and commercial acumen with the ability to assess and manage risk
  • Proven ability to lead teams and manage complex projects
  • Excellent negotiation, influencing and stakeholder management skills
  • Resilience, gravitas, and personal integrity to operate at Executive Team level

Preferred

  • Understanding of the UK education sector and the challenges facing independent schools
