The Opportunity:

As Head of Business and Economics, you will lead the development of a dynamic and inclusive curriculum that inspires student engagement and academic excellence. You will play a key role in shaping the learning experience and supporting student growth within a forward-thinking, international environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the implementation of the Business and Economics curriculum.
  • Deliver engaging, inclusive, and effective lessons that support student learning.
  • Develop and implement curriculum-aligned lesson plans and assessments.
  • Use data-driven strategies to support diverse learning needs and improve teaching effectiveness.
  • Integrate digital tools to enhance learning experiences and student engagement.
  • Support enrichment activities, school events, and initiatives that boost school spirit.
  • Strengthen parental engagement through clear communication and progress updates.
  • Contribute to curriculum innovation and quality assurance.
  • Serve as a Form Tutor and support the IB curriculum.
  • Engage in continuous professional development and reflect on teaching practice.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Recognised teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, QTS, or equivalent).
  • Experience delivering a UK National Curriculum in the UK or overseas.
  • Current Enhanced Criminal Records Bureau Disclosure for all countries lived in.
  • Compliance with visa requirements for working, including a minimum bachelor’s degree and at least 2 years of teaching experience.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all pupils.

Preferred

  • Experience in leading curriculum development and innovation.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills.
  • Experience with international curricula, such as the IB.
  • Familiarity with digital learning tools and platforms.
  • Demonstrated ability to foster student engagement and school spirit.
