The Opportunity:
As Head of Business and Economics, you will lead the development of a dynamic and inclusive curriculum that inspires student engagement and academic excellence. You will play a key role in shaping the learning experience and supporting student growth within a forward-thinking, international environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the implementation of the Business and Economics curriculum.
- Deliver engaging, inclusive, and effective lessons that support student learning.
- Develop and implement curriculum-aligned lesson plans and assessments.
- Use data-driven strategies to support diverse learning needs and improve teaching effectiveness.
- Integrate digital tools to enhance learning experiences and student engagement.
- Support enrichment activities, school events, and initiatives that boost school spirit.
- Strengthen parental engagement through clear communication and progress updates.
- Contribute to curriculum innovation and quality assurance.
- Serve as a Form Tutor and support the IB curriculum.
- Engage in continuous professional development and reflect on teaching practice.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Recognised teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, QTS, or equivalent).
- Experience delivering a UK National Curriculum in the UK or overseas.
- Current Enhanced Criminal Records Bureau Disclosure for all countries lived in.
- Compliance with visa requirements for working, including a minimum bachelor’s degree and at least 2 years of teaching experience.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all pupils.
Preferred
- Experience in leading curriculum development and innovation.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
- Experience with international curricula, such as the IB.
- Familiarity with digital learning tools and platforms.
- Demonstrated ability to foster student engagement and school spirit.
