The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cultivate an inclusive and respectful learning environment for students and teachers.
  • Assist students and teachers in accessing resources that support learning and research.
  • Monitor borrowing habits and promote a wide range of materials to support student interests.
  • Create engaging and aesthetically pleasing physical learning spaces that encourage exploration and inquiry.
  • Collaborate with teaching staff to develop and implement sequential learning programs.
  • Promote the joy of reading and the library’s services within the school community.
  • Provide ongoing training to support the development of student research skills.
  • Manage the library’s physical and virtual resources for Years 1 to 5 students, parents, and teachers.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher.
  • Minimum four years of teaching experience.
  • Experience in a primary school library environment.
  • Teaching qualification and librarian qualifications.
  • International and bilingual school experience.
  • Cross-cultural work experience.

Preferred

  • Experience with concept-based learning.
  • Strong technological literacy and knowledge of educational software.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant applications.
  • Excellent written English and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Experience with curriculum development and collaborative teaching.
