The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the Business department, ensuring a high-quality curriculum is delivered across KS4 and KS5.
  • Develop and implement strategies to enhance teaching and learning outcomes.
  • Support students in achieving their full potential through effective instruction and personalized learning approaches.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to foster a positive and inclusive school culture.
  • Monitor and evaluate student progress, providing targeted support where needed.
  • Promote the department’s success through strong leadership and professional development opportunities.
  • Ensure the department meets all academic and pastoral standards.
  • Work closely with senior leadership to align departmental goals with school-wide priorities.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Strong subject knowledge and expertise in Business education.
  • High expectations of students and a commitment to their academic and personal development.
  • Experience in addressing barriers to learning and supporting diverse student needs.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Proven ability to deliver outstanding teaching and learning outcomes.

Preferred

  • Experience in a leadership role within a school or educational setting.
  • Familiarity with strategies for improving student achievement and engagement.
  • Experience with curriculum development and assessment practices.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
