The Opportunity:

As a Humanities Teacher, you will play a vital role in inspiring and educating students aged 11-16. This is an opportunity to join a supportive and innovative team that is dedicated to raising standards and achieving outstanding outcomes in Humanities, with a focus on Geography or RE.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality, engaging lessons in Humanities, with a specialism in Geography or RE.
  • Motivate and inspire students to achieve their full potential through creative and innovative teaching methods.
  • Work closely with parents, students, and colleagues to support learning and raise standards.
  • Reflect on teaching practice and continuously improve through professional development and collaboration.
  • Embrace change and contribute to a positive, inclusive school culture that values respect and diversity.
  • Support the development of students' CORE skills and foster a Rights Respecting ethos.
  • Participate in the school's professional development programmes and contribute to the growth of the teaching team.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with experience in teaching Humanities, ideally with a specialism in Geography or RE.
  • A track record of success in teaching and raising student achievement.
  • A flexible, aspirational, and enthusiastic attitude towards teaching and learning.
  • A commitment to working effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • A desire to work within a team that values collaboration and continuous improvement.

Preferred

  • Experience with the use of CORE skills in teaching and learning.
  • Experience in a Rights Respecting environment.
  • Experience with supporting students from diverse backgrounds.
  • Experience with professional development and leadership opportunities.
