The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and develop the Classics curriculum to ensure it is engaging, innovative, and aligned with the school’s values.

- Collaborate with colleagues across the school to support interdisciplinary learning and whole-school initiatives.
- Foster a culture of continuous professional development and innovation in teaching practices.
- Work closely with parents and the wider school community to promote the importance of Classics in a modern education.
- Monitor and assess student progress, ensuring that all pupils are challenged and supported.
- Contribute to the development of school policies and strategies related to academic and pastoral care.
- Represent the school at relevant events and engage with the wider educational community.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- A strong academic background in Classics, ideally with a degree or higher qualification in the subject.
- Proven experience in teaching Classics at the primary or secondary level.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- A commitment to fostering student engagement and academic excellence.
- Experience in curriculum development and delivery.
Preferred
- Experience in leading a department or team.
