The Opportunity:

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic PE Teacher with a specialism in football to join a growing department. This role offers the chance to influence the curriculum and potentially lead a sport area, depending on skills and experience. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering high-quality PE and extra-curricular activities to students across both junior and senior schools.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach a range of PE and games lessons to students across the junior and senior schools.
  • Organise and lead matches and extra-curricular sports clubs.
  • Ensure health and safety standards are maintained during all PE activities.
  • Maintain discipline and a positive learning environment during lessons.
  • Develop and implement schemes of work for the PE department.
  • Assist in the organisation and management of educational trips when required.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with experience in Physical Education.
  • Strong knowledge and teaching experience in football.
  • Ability to teach across the curriculum to mixed and all-girls classes.
  • Commitment to health and safety in sports environments.
  • Experience in writing and delivering schemes of work.

Preferred

  • Leadership experience or interest in leading a sports department.
  • Experience in managing extra-curricular sports programmes.
  • Familiarity with the Physical Education Association and current teaching methods.
  • Experience in organising and managing school trips.
