The Opportunity:

As the Head of Creative Arts, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the creative curriculum across Key Stage 3, IGCSE, and IB. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and passionate educator to lead and inspire students in the visual and performing arts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach across Key Stage 3, IGCSE, and IB curriculum in Creative Arts.
  • Develop and deliver engaging lessons that align with curriculum guidelines and student learning needs.
  • Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to support academic and personal growth.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching practices and curriculum development.
  • Support students with special educational needs and gifted and talented learners.
  • Manage and utilize resources effectively to enhance student learning.
  • Maintain high standards of behavior and discipline in the classroom.
  • Engage with parents and the wider community to support student learning and development.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in a related subject with teaching qualification (e.g., B.Ed., PGCE, QTS, or equivalent).
  • Minimum of 2 years of full-time teaching experience.
  • Fluency in English with the ability to teach in English.
  • Strong knowledge of the National Curriculum, IGCSE, and IBDP in Creative Arts.

Preferred

  • Experience in teaching music, drama, or IB Theory of Knowledge (TOK).
  • Background in IGCSE or IBDP curriculum delivery.
  • Experience in developing and managing arts programs.
