Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the Business and Economics department, ensuring high-quality teaching and learning.
• Develop and implement departmental strategies aligned with the school’s mission and curriculum standards.
• Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching practices and student outcomes.
• Monitor and evaluate student progress, providing targeted support where needed.
• Foster a culture of continuous professional development within the department.
• Coordinate with external stakeholders, including parents and industry partners, to enrich the curriculum.
• Ensure the department meets all regulatory and accreditation requirements.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• BEd or Bachelor’s degree with PGCE / PGDE or equivalent.
• Proven experience teaching Business and Economics to KS4/KS5 or equivalent.
• Strong leadership and management experience in an educational setting.
• Demonstrated ability to drive academic excellence and student success.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students and staff.

Preferred

• Experience in a high-performing international school environment.
• Familiarity with IGCSE, GCSE, IB, A’ Level, or BTEC curricula.
• Experience with blended learning and technology integration in the classroom.
• Proven track record in leading curriculum development initiatives.
• Involvement in extra-curricular activities and community engagement.
