Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging and innovative Geography lessons to KS4/KS5 students.
• Develop and implement effective teaching strategies that meet the needs of all learners.
• Foster positive relationships with students and contribute to a supportive and inclusive classroom environment.
• Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and enhance teaching and learning across the department.
• Support students in developing critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills through Geography.
• Participate in the planning and delivery of extra-curricular activities and community events.
• Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to support academic growth.
• Stay up-to-date with current developments in Geography education and incorporate relevant resources and technologies into lessons.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• A BEd or Bachelor’s degree with PGCE / PGDE or equivalent.
• Proven experience teaching Geography to KS4/KS5 or equivalent.
• Strong evidence-based teaching pedagogy and a commitment to continuous professional development.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• A proven track record of delivering outstanding learning and teaching outcomes.
• A growth mindset with a reflective and solution-focused approach to teaching.

• Experience with blended learning and the integration of technology in the classroom.
