The Opportunity:
As the Head of Digital Learning – Computing, you will lead the Computing department and drive digital learning initiatives across the school. This is a strategic role that shapes the future of digital pedagogy and curriculum development, impacting both students and staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and develop a rich, ambitious Computing curriculum from KS3 through KS5.
- Deliver and model outstanding Computing teaching across all key stages.
- Support teachers in embedding digital learning across the wider curriculum.
- Drive digital learning initiatives and influence strategy within the Teaching & Learning team.
- Provide digital training and professional development for staff.
- Develop enrichment opportunities to enhance students’ digital skills.
- Foster a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and professional growth.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to shape the school’s digital future.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Proven experience in leading a Computing department.
- Strong subject knowledge in Computing and digital learning.
- Experience in curriculum development and delivery at KS3 through KS5.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Commitment to professional development and staff training.
Preferred
- Experience with GCSE and A Level Computing qualifications.
- Familiarity with digital pedagogy and emerging technologies.
- Experience in driving whole-school digital innovation.
- Background in education leadership or senior management.
