The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and develop the Geography department to ensure high-quality teaching and learning.
- Deliver engaging and impactful lessons that align with the school’s evidence-based approach to teaching.
- Support staff through instructional coaching and professional development opportunities.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing targeted interventions where needed.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to maintain high standards of behaviour and learning.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of the school’s curriculum.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth.
- Encourage prosocial behaviours and personal development in students.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with a strong background in Geography.
- Proven leadership experience in a school setting.
- Experience in curriculum development and delivery.
- Commitment to evidence-informed teaching practices.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred
- Experience in instructional coaching or mentoring.
- Background in leading a department or team.
- Familiarity with behaviour management systems.
- Experience with assessment and intervention strategies.
- Passion for promoting student well-being and personal development.
