The Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Subject Leader Business and ICT to join our school and lead the teaching and learning of Business and ICT across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5. This role offers a unique opportunity to shape the curriculum and inspire students with a forward-thinking approach to education.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the Business and ICT curriculum, ensuring it meets the highest standards of teaching and learning.
  • Deliver high-quality lessons in Key Stage 3 (Year 9 Business Studies) and Key Stage 4 & 5 Business (A Level/Vocational).
  • Support and mentor colleagues within the subject area, fostering a culture of continuous professional development.
  • Monitor and evaluate student progress, implementing effective interventions where needed.
  • Work closely with other departments to ensure a cohesive and integrated approach to student learning.
  • Promote the school’s values and ethos, particularly in relation to inclusion, well-being, and academic excellence.
  • Collaborate with external partners to provide students with real-world learning experiences and career opportunities.
  • Ensure the school’s vision and mission are reflected in all aspects of the subject leadership role.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with experience in Business and ICT at Key Stages 3, 4, and 5.
  • Proven leadership experience in a subject leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of the Business and ICT curriculum and assessment requirements.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to inclusion, student well-being, and the school’s vision and values.

Preferred

  • Experience in leading curriculum development and innovation.
  • Familiarity with trauma-informed practice and pastoral care.
  • Experience in work-related learning and partnerships with external organisations.
  • Experience in delivering vocational and technical pathways.
