The Opportunity:

As the Head of FS2, you will lead and support a specific year group, ensuring academic progress, well-being, and development. You will be a key contact for staff, students, and parents, helping to maintain a positive and effective learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and support the academic and pastoral needs of a specific year group
• Foster strong relationships with students, parents, and staff
• Ensure the implementation of the English National Curriculum
• Promote a positive and inclusive school culture
• Monitor and support the academic progress of all students
• Coordinate with other staff to provide a cohesive and supportive learning experience
• Participate in the wider life of the school and contribute to its development
• Ensure compliance with safeguarding and child protection policies

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Qualified teacher with a minimum of two years teaching experience
• A B.Ed or BA degree in a core Primary subject with PGCE
• In-depth knowledge of the English National Curriculum
• Excellent understanding of Safeguarding and Child Protection policies and practices
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Preferred

• Experience in a leadership role within education
• Proficient ICT user
• Awareness of innovative thinking and practice in education
• Experience in fostering a caring and supportive atmosphere
