The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality, engaging lessons aligned with the UK National Curriculum.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages curiosity and independent learning.
  • Monitor and support the academic progress and well-being of all students in the class.
  • Collaborate with other teachers, parents, and the Head of Year to ensure a cohesive and effective learning experience.
  • Develop and implement innovative teaching strategies and resources.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and behavior.
  • Participate in school-wide events, extracurricular activities, and professional development opportunities.
  • Ensure compliance with safeguarding and child protection policies and procedures.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with a minimum of two years teaching experience.
  • A B.Ed or BA degree in a core Primary subject with PGCE.
  • In-depth knowledge of the English National Curriculum.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proficient in the use of ICT in teaching and learning.
  • Excellent understanding of safeguarding and child protection policies.

Preferred

  • Experience in leading or supporting a year group as a Head of Year.
  • Proven ability to foster a caring and supportive classroom environment.
  • Experience in contributing to the wider life of the school through extracurricular activities.
  • Demonstrated passion for education and student well-being.
