Summary:
Head of Inclusion - Maternity Cover – Lead inclusive practices and support Students of Determination.

The Opportunity:
The Head of Inclusion (Maternity Cover) will lead the strategic development of inclusive practices, ensuring that all students receive the support they need to thrive. This role is pivotal in driving a culture of inclusion and collaboration across the school.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and develop inclusive strategies aligned with the school’s vision and values.
- Advocate for inclusive practices and challenge outdated approaches to improve provision.
- Coordinate support for Students of Determination, including intervention groups and individual education plans.
- Manage records and maintain an accurate SEND register.
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders, including parents, external agencies, and educational psychologists.
- Deliver professional development and INSET/CPD for staff and inclusion team members.
- Monitor and review the quality of provision for Students of Determination across the school.
- Support smooth transitions for students moving between schools or educational settings.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher status (or equivalent).
- Relevant SEND/Inclusion qualification or significant leadership experience in inclusion.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Proven ability to manage a team and resolve problems effectively.
Preferred
- Experience in leading inclusive practices in a school setting.
- Familiarity with UAE and international education policies.
- Experience with professional development and staff training.
