The Opportunity:

We are seeking an Inclusion Teacher to provide specialist support to students with special educational needs during a maternity cover period. This role is essential in ensuring that every child has the opportunity to thrive in a supportive and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality teaching and support to students with special educational needs (SEND)
  • Adapt curriculum structures to meet the diverse needs of students and ensure equitable access to learning
  • Conduct assessments to identify the specific needs of individual students and develop appropriate learning plans
  • Promote a culture of safeguarding and welfare, ensuring the safety and well-being of all students
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers to develop inclusive teaching strategies and provide professional development support
  • Support the development of flexible learning pathways that accommodate different learning styles and backgrounds
  • Ensure that all students have access to appropriate assessment procedures and modifications
  • Foster strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues to support a positive and inclusive learning environment

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher status (or equivalent)
  • Proven experience in teaching students with special educational needs
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Ability to implement inclusive teaching strategies and adapt curricula to meet diverse learning needs
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting student welfare

Preferred

  • Experience in working within a British curriculum setting
  • Familiarity with universal design for learning and differentiated instruction
  • Experience in using assistive technologies to support students with special needs
  • Background in pastoral care and student support services
