Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the strategic development and management of the library’s resources, services, and programs.
• Lead and inspire a dedicated team of library staff to deliver high-quality support to students, teachers, and parents.
• Ensure the library remains a vibrant, inclusive, and innovative learning space that aligns with the school’s educational goals.
• Develop and implement policies and procedures that promote the effective use of library resources.
• Collaborate with faculty to integrate library services into the curriculum and support student learning outcomes.
• Manage the acquisition, cataloging, and maintenance of library collections, including digital and print materials.
• Promote reading, research, and information literacy across the school community.
• Monitor and evaluate the performance of the library to ensure continuous improvement and alignment with school objectives.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Proven leadership experience in a school or educational library setting.
• Strong knowledge of library management systems and digital resources.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and implement library strategies aligned with educational goals.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with students, staff, and parents.
• Degree in Library Science, Education, or a related field.

Preferred

• Experience in managing large-scale library operations in an international school environment.
• Familiarity with British and international curricula, including IGCSE and IB programs.
• Experience with technology integration in library services.
• Strong understanding of child development and learning theories.
