Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality, mastery-based maths lessons to students across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5.
  • Use innovative teaching methods to ensure all students achieve their full potential.
  • Support the development of students’ mathematical fluency and problem-solving skills.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and continuously improve teaching methods.
  • Maintain strong, positive relationships with students and promote a culture of high expectations and respect.
  • Participate in school-wide initiatives and contribute to the school’s mission and values.
  • Engage with parents and the wider community to support student progress.
  • Take ownership of your classroom and be proactive in shaping the learning experience.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with experience in maths education.
  • Commitment to the school’s ethos and values.
  • Strong classroom management skills and ability to maintain high standards of behaviour.
  • Experience in delivering a mastery curriculum or similar approach.

Preferred

  • Experience with teaching both lower and upper school.
  • Familiarity with using digital tools and resources in teaching.
  • Background in working with students from diverse backgrounds.
  • Previous experience in leading or mentoring other teachers.
