Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality, mastery-based maths lessons to students across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5.
- Use innovative teaching methods to ensure all students achieve their full potential.
- Support the development of students’ mathematical fluency and problem-solving skills.
- Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and continuously improve teaching methods.
- Maintain strong, positive relationships with students and promote a culture of high expectations and respect.
- Participate in school-wide initiatives and contribute to the school’s mission and values.
- Engage with parents and the wider community to support student progress.
- Take ownership of your classroom and be proactive in shaping the learning experience.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with experience in maths education.
- Commitment to the school’s ethos and values.
- Strong classroom management skills and ability to maintain high standards of behaviour.
- Experience in delivering a mastery curriculum or similar approach.
Preferred
- Experience with teaching both lower and upper school.
- Familiarity with using digital tools and resources in teaching.
- Background in working with students from diverse backgrounds.
- Previous experience in leading or mentoring other teachers.
