Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the Mathematics department, ensuring high standards of teaching and learning.
• Develop and implement a dynamic curriculum aligned with British exam boards.
• Support and mentor teaching staff to improve departmental performance and outcomes.
• Deliver engaging, student-led lessons that incorporate technology to enhance learning.
• Contribute to the school's extra-curricular programme and broader educational initiatives.
• Monitor and evaluate student progress to ensure continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with other departments to promote a holistic and integrated approach to learning.
• Ensure compliance with all school policies, including safeguarding and child protection procedures.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Undergraduate degree or major in Mathematics.
• PGCE in Mathematics.
• Experience of leading in a British school or British curriculum institution.
• Experience teaching AQA, Edexcel, or equivalent British exam boards.
• Evidence of ‘Outstanding’ teaching practice or the potential to achieve it.
• Proven ability to improve departmental performance and outcomes.
• Strong subject knowledge and passion for inspiring student learning.
• Confidence in using classroom technology to enhance student engagement and achievement.

Preferred

• Experience in curriculum development or leadership roles within an international school setting.
• Experience with Design Thinking or interdisciplinary teaching approaches.
• Demonstrated success in leading extra-curricular initiatives or student support programmes.
