Key Responsibilities:
- Provide inspirational leadership to ensure high-quality teaching and accelerated student progress.
- Lead on curriculum development and enrichment opportunities to enhance student engagement.
- Monitor and evaluate teaching practices to support continuous improvement and innovation.
- Set and monitor targets for staff and students, ensuring outstanding outcomes and academic success.
- Develop and implement intervention strategies to support student achievement and progress.
- Promote collaborative working within the faculty, across departments, and within the trust.
- Ensure lessons are fully differentiated to support students of all abilities and backgrounds.
- Refine and develop schemes of work to reflect the evolving nature of the subject and new specifications.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with a strong subject specialism in Modern Foreign Languages.
- Demonstrable experience in improving student outcomes and achieving high academic results.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate staff.
- Commitment to developing innovative teaching practices and promoting a stimulating learning environment.
Preferred
- Experience in curriculum development and leading a department.
- Familiarity with the latest teaching methodologies and resources.
- Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language or other language teaching approaches.
- Strong record of achieving A and A* grades at A-Level and 7–9 grades at GCSE.
