As a Science Teacher, you will play a vital role in inspiring and educating students across all key stages. Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and effective Science lessons to students across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5.
- Set clear learning targets and assess student progress with regular feedback.
- Contribute to the development of schemes of work and maintain a stimulating and safe learning environment.
- Engage with parents and the wider school community to support student success.
- Take responsibility for professional development and participate in school duties and performance management.
- Support students in preparing for examinations, including GCSE and A-level qualifications.
- Encourage participation in extra-curricular activities and revision clubs.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure high standards of teaching and learning.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with relevant experience in Science education.
- Strong knowledge of Science curriculum, including GCSE and A-level qualifications.
- Ability to assess student progress and provide constructive feedback.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to student welfare and personal development.
- Experience in contributing to departmental planning and collaborative teaching.
Preferred
- Experience in teaching Key Stage 3 integrated Science courses.
- Familiarity with AQA, OCR, and Edexcel Science qualifications.
- Involvement in extra-curricular activities such as science clubs or competitions.
- Experience in leading or supporting revision and intervention programs.
- Strong leadership and team-working skills.
