Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging and effective Science lessons to students across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5.
• Set clear learning targets and assess student progress with regular feedback.
• Contribute to the development of schemes of work and maintain a stimulating and safe learning environment.
• Engage with parents and the wider school community to support student success.
• Take responsibility for professional development and participate in school duties and performance management.
• Support students in preparing for examinations, including GCSE and A-level qualifications.
• Encourage participation in extra-curricular activities and revision clubs.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure high standards of teaching and learning.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Qualified teacher with relevant experience in Science education.
• Strong knowledge of Science curriculum, including GCSE and A-level qualifications.
• Ability to assess student progress and provide constructive feedback.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Commitment to student welfare and personal development.
• Experience in contributing to departmental planning and collaborative teaching.

Preferred

• Experience in teaching Key Stage 3 integrated Science courses.
• Familiarity with AQA, OCR, and Edexcel Science qualifications.
• Involvement in extra-curricular activities such as science clubs or competitions.
• Experience in leading or supporting revision and intervention programs.
• Strong leadership and team-working skills.
