The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and effective vocal instruction across a range of musical styles and genres.
  • Develop and maintain a personal timetable, sourcing resources and repertoire independently.
  • Communicate directly with parents and guardians regarding student progress and payment.
  • Support or lead ensembles or other musical activities, as opportunities arise.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Music and Music Department Administrator for guidance and support.
  • Maintain a high standard of teaching and uphold the school’s values and ethos.
  • Contribute to the school’s extra-curricular and enrichment programme.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven experience as a singing teacher or in a related field.
  • Strong vocal and musical abilities with a deep understanding of various styles and genres.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage your own timetable and resources effectively.
  • Commitment to the school’s values and mission.

Preferred

  • Experience working with students of varying ages and skill levels.
  • Experience in ensemble or group teaching.
  • Familiarity with Catholic education values and principles.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Experience with music technology and digital resources.
